Skor Protect
Greater certainty for every rental
Skor backs the tenant's profile, strengthening their application and supporting them throughout the rental period, while providing the landlord with greater certainty and security regarding that profile.
For tenants
A stronger application
After creating their profile, the tenant decides to strengthen their application with Skor Protect to provide the property with added security and stand out from other candidates.
Support with your landlord
Have a question or an issue during your tenancy, from an appliance breaking down to how to raise something with your landlord? Skor is there to help you figure out the best way forward.
For landlords
Skor is liable to the tenant.
Skor Protect provides the financial protection for a property that insurance would offer: if the tenant stops paying rent, we compensate you for the missed payment and subsequently claim the amount directly from the tenant.
Skor Protect is a service agreement separate from the lease agreement; Skor is not a party to that agreement.
How it works
1
The tenant adds Skor Protect to their profile.
During the application process, the tenant can add Skor Protect to their application. This demonstrates to the landlord the tenant's willingness to provide this form of additional guarantee.
2
The owner accepts it.
The landlord reviews the application and, if it is a good fit, accepts it for the property in question. The tenant has 48 hours to finalize the agreement and notifies the landlord once it is formalized.
3
The service is activated upon the signing of the contract.
Skor Protect takes effect upon the signing of the lease agreement and renews annually for as long as the lease remains in force, requiring no action from the landlord. If the lease is ultimately not signed, the tenant receives a full refund or may apply the service to a different property.
